After School and Tutoring Program Support
Last week, the Faith-Based and Community Initiatives offices at the U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Education
conducted a conference call entitled, “Using Food and Nutrition Programs to Support Afterschool and Tutoring
Activities.” On the call, representatives from the Departments of Education and Agriculture discussed various ways
faith-based and community organizations can receive funding to provide healthy, nutritious meals for children from low
income families who are enrolled in their tutoring and afterschool programs.

“Upcoming Events” section. In addition, a PowerPoint presentation with program and contact information is also
